Theme Parks in Alicante
There are many attractive places in Alicante for kids and family to enjoy. Some of those are listed here.
A Castle lies on an outcrop of land and towers above Alicante, and it is the prominent landmark of the city. Santa Barbara was built by the Moors in the 10th century and has everything to offer the visitor, in particular the kids! The cannons, palace, moat, bonfire museum, dungeons, and the majestic views from the Lookout Tower will mesmerize the younger ones. In the summertime, there are free musical concerts to be enjoyed that are organised by the local Town Council.
A Park is on the side of Mount Tossal and is broken up to describe the different regions of Valencia. There are great fun activities for the kids to enjoy here – such as mini golf, giant chess, skateboarding, skating and other games.
Take a trip to Canelobre caves; they are just 25km from Alicante. They are the largest and deepest caves in Spain. Older kids will admire the magnificence of the stalactites and stalagmites, and you all will learn all about the history of the caves through the guided tour. Find out more about Canelobre Caves.
The younger ones in the family will love a trip out to Tabarca Island. This small island is just a 30-minute ferry ride from Santa Pola. They will love to perch themselves on the top deck for the coastal and sea views and also going below deck to see the wonderful marine life from the glass bottom of the boat. Tabarca Island was the very first Marine Reserve in the Spanish mainland and nearly 1,500 hectares of marine life is protected today. The rocky beaches and clear waters of the island make it a perfect family day out.
Santa Pola is just a short 30-minute drive from Alicante on the N-332. The kids will love a trip to Pola Park. Here there are over 20 attractions, from bouncy castles, a laser maze and car crash tracks!
Torrevieja Aquapolis is one of the biggest on the Costa Blanca and you're guaranteed a great day out. Fantastic fun for all the family.
Aqualandia Water Park is one of Europe's largest water parks and is situated at the northern end of Playa Levante. The park has all kids of water activities for all ages and abilities.
